There are sold 39% of new foreign cars in Moscow and Moscow region

There was sold almost a half of new foreign cars in the Central federal district in 2010. The experts of AUTOSTAT agency informed about it during the conference, which was held in Moscow. There were sold three times less of foreign cars in Volga federal district. Nevertheless, the previous year finished for Volga district with the share growth of 16,2%. The third place is occupied by North-West federal district, the share of which decreased by 1% for a year. The share of South federal district also decreased insignificantly. The share of sold foreign cars in Ural district is more than 9%. The tendency of new foreign cars sales increasing was continued in Siberian and Far Eastern districts, so their shares increase gradually.
The first place among the sold foreign cars in the subjects of RF is occupied historically by Moscow and Moscow region. By the results of 12 months 2010 there were sold more than 493 thousand cars in our capital that correspond to 39,2% of market. The sales of cars is 4 times less in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region - 121,8 thousand cars.
The high indicators of sales growth were fixed in Primorsky region,
where the sales of official dealers increased by 184% in compare with
2009. The previous year was finished with the high sales growth in
Bryansk (89,8%), Astrakhan (66,7%), Novosibirsk (51,5%) regions and
also in Altai region (65,1%).
The smallest growth was fixed in Karelia Republic – only 2,7% in
compare with the YOY basis.
The Stavropol region was the unique subject in Russia, the sales of
foreign cars in which were less by 1,3 thousand cars than in 2009
(-9,8%).
There were sold more than a million 257 thousand foreign passenger cars
totally for 2010 and it was more by 23,5% than during the analogical
period of the previous year.
